How to disable cookies?

In Firefox:

In the upper right corner of the Firefox browser window, click Open menu (three horizontal lines) and select Options.
Then select the Privacy tab.
From the drop-down menu in the History section, select an option: Firefox: will use your settings.
Check Accept cookies to enable, uncheck to disable cookies.
Select cookie storage period:
- Store: until they expire– the cookie will be deleted after reaching its expiry date, which is determined by the website sending the cookie.
- Store: until Firefox is closed– cookies stored on your computer will be deleted when you close Firefox.
- Store: ask every time– each time a website tries to send a cookie, your browser will prompt you to decide whether to store the cookie.
Close the options window to save your settings.

In Google Chrome:

In the upper right corner of the Google Chrome address bar, select Customize and control Google Chrome (three horizontal lines).
Select Settings.
Scroll to the bottom of the window and click Show advanced settings…
In the Privacy section, click the Content Settings button.
In the Cookies section you can change the following cookie settings:
- Block attempts to place data from websites on your computer
- Block cookies and data from third-party sites: Select the Ignore exceptions and block the creation of third-party cookies checkbox.

Please note that this setting prevents most websites that require login from working.

In Microsoft Edge browser

In the browser window, click the Settings button and then select Cookies and site permissions.
Click Manage and delete cookies and site data, then toggle the “Allow sites to write and read cookie data (recommended)” button to ON to allow cookies, or to OFF to block all cookies. .

In Safari browser

Changing your cookie preferences or deleting cookies and site data in Safari may affect the performance of other programs, such as Dashboard.

Choose Safari > Preferences, click Privacy, then do any of the following:

Change how you accept cookies and site data: Select an option next to Cookies and site data:

Always block:Safari doesn’t allow websites, third parties, or advertisers to store cookies or other data on your Mac. This may prevent some websites from working properly.
Only from the current site: Safari only accepts cookies and site data from the website you are currently viewing. Websites often contain embedded elements from other sources. Safari does not allow these third parties to store or access cookies and other data.
From sites visited: Safari only accepts cookies and site data from the sites you visit. Safari uses existing cookies to determine whether you have visited a website before. Selecting this checkbox helps prevent websites that embed content from other websites from storing cookies and other data on your Mac.
Always allow: Safari allows all websites, third parties, and advertisers to store cookies and other data on your Mac.

In the Opera browser

Cookie Settings Settings > Preferences > Advanced > Cookies Cookie settings allow you to control how cookies are handled. By default, all cookies are accepted.

The following options are available in the Opera browser:

Accept cookies– all cookies are accepted (option set by default).
Only accept cookies from the website I visit– all cookies from domains other than the visited domain are rejected. Never accept cookies – all cookies are rejected.

How to clear temporary data in the browser?

If you experience problems with logging in, please delete your browser’s temporary data.

In Firefox

In the upper right corner of the Firefox browser window, click Open menu (three horizontal lines) and select History.
Then select the Clear browsing history tab.
In the Clear History window, from the Period to clear drop-down menu, select: All.
Then, in the History section, select Cache. Check whether the items you do not want to remove are unselected.
Confirm and save the deletion of temporary browser data by pressing the OK button in the lower right corner of the Clear History window.

In Google Chrome browser

In the upper right corner, next to the address bar of Google Chrome, click Customize and control Google Chrome (three vertical dots).
Select More tools and then select the Clear browsing data tab.
In the Clear Browsing Data window, from the Time Range drop-down menu, select: From the beginning.
Then check Cached images and files. Check whether the items you do not want to remove are unselected.
Confirm and save the deletion of your temporary browser data by pressing the Clear Data button in the lower right corner of the Clear Browsing Data window.

In Microsoft Edge browser

In the upper right corner of the Microsoft Edge address bar, click Settings and more (three horizontal dots).
Select Settings, and then from the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the Settings menu (three horizontal lines), select the Privacy, search and services tab.
Then, in the Clear browsing data section, for Clear browsing data now, click Select what you want to clear.
In the Clear Browsing Data window, from the Time range drop-down menu, select: All the time.
Then check Cached images and files. Check whether the items you do not want to remove are unselected.
Confirm and save the deletion of your temporary browser data by pressing the Clear Now button in the lower left corner of the Clear Browsing Data window.

In Safari browser

Deleting website data in Safari may affect the performance of other applications.

Select the Safari menu command, then select the Preferences tab.
Click Privacy, then under Cookies & Site Data, select Manage Site Data.
Then select the website you are interested in and click Remove All.

Removing this data may reduce tracking, but may also log you out of websites or change their behavior.

In the Opera browser

By default, Opera stores some browsing data to speed up connections, load common page elements faster, and better serve the pages you visit. You may want to remove traces of your activity by deleting private data.

To clear private data for Mac users:

From the main menu, select Opera and then Clear browsing data.
From the Time range drop-down menu, select the period from which you want to remove history items,
Select the checkboxes next to the browsing data you want to delete,
Click Clear Data.

To clear private data for Windows and Linux users:

Go to About Menu, select History, then click Clear Browsing Data.
From the Time Range drop-down menu, select the period from which you want to remove history items.
Select the checkboxes next to the browsing data you want to delete.
Click Clear Data.
